OVERVIEW
The SH-1 came shortly after the SH-7, but
was soon replaced by the SH-2 and SH-09
which are both very similar to the SH-1.

OSCILLATORS
The SH-1 has one VCO and a
sub-oscillator. The VCO has square,
sawtooth/ramp and pulse waveforms, and a
selectable range from 32´ to 2´. The pulse
width can be controlled either manually, or
with the LFO or ENV. The sub-oscillator
has three modes: one octave down square
and 2 octave square or pluse. There is also
a noise source with selectable pink or white
noise.

MODULATION
The LFO has square, sine and random
(S/H) waveforms, with delay and frequency
sliders, and a LED indicating rate. The
SH-1 also has a autobend function with
sliders controling time and depth.

MIXER
The mixer has four sliders, for VCO,
sub-oscillator, noise and external signal
levels. There is also a LED to indicate
external input overload.

FILTER
There are two filters on the SH-1. The main
filter is a self-oscillating, low-pass filter. 6
sliders controls cutoff frequency,
resonance, ENV modulation, LFO
modulation, keyboard-follow modulation,
and modulation following ext. input
envenlope. ENV modulation has switchable
polarity.
The second filter is a high-pass filter with a
single slider for cutoff frequecy.

ENVENLOPES
There are two envelope generators, one
ADSR and one AR. ENV1(ADSR) has
gate, gate+trigger and LFO modes.
ENV2(AR) has gate and LFO modes.

OTHER
VCA has a slider controling hold and
switchable ENV1/ENV2 modes. The
external input allows one to use the SH-1
filters (with it´s mods) with virtually any
sound source. The pitch-bender controls
pitch and/or filter cutoff at variable amount.
Traditionally, portamento is implented with
a turning-knob controling time.
