The AX-1 is a compact and lightweight strap-on controller that has 45 synth type
keys, and with its eye-catching red finish, it gives you the ability to play show
stopping live performances. The AX-1 features complete GS control capabilities,
so you can take full advantage of the versatile features of sound modules that
support GM/GS. In addition, the AX-1 features

a velocity sensitive keyboard with selectable velocity curves
octave up/down function
transpose
2 key zones and 3 key modes (single, split, or layer)
and dedicated start/stop buttons plus tempo control for use with
sequencers and playback devices.

The AX-1 also features an "Expression Bar" that controls pitch bend and
modulation according to finger postion and pressure. There are 32 user patch
locations, and the AX1 can operate for up to 30 hours on batteries, or with an
optional ACA series power supply. The AX-1 was re-released for a short time
only and again has been discontinued.

In 1999 it is re-re-released for a short time again
in Black and with gold letters.
