KURZWEIL
The K1000 combines a 76-note. weighted key, velocity-sensitive
keyboard with a varied
collection of the sounds found on the legendary Kurzweil K250.
The result is a versatile
MIDI controller accompanied by the audio quality and realism which
only Kurzweil's
Contoured Sound Modeling sampling system can provide. This system
uses 7 times
oversampling and a 16-bit floating point format to provide a clear,
clean,
high-signal-to-noise ratio sound. And no matter how hard or soft
a note is played, you
won't hear any of that "grittiness" as the note decays
a problem associated with
conventional 12 and 16 bit samples. The K1000 boasts 120 presets
and full 24-voice
polyphony And if you want to control a full sampled orchestra,
you can add any of the
four 1000 SeriesTM Expanders to create a super-system with up
to 108-voices and
10-outputs.
Control and Flexibility
The KlOOO's full multitimbral capa bilities let you make the most
of all these voices. Any
of MlDl's 96 control sources or performance features ~mono and
poly pressure, attack
and release velocity, key or note state can be patched to control
any program parameter:
LFO or envelope rates and depths, layer balance, amplitude and
pitch control, etc. And
there's ample RAM space on board to store up to 64 user-definable
programs. In
Multi-Mode, any program or patch can be assigned to any or all
of MlDl's 16 channels.
Dynamic voice allocation system automatically sees to it that
voices never "sit idle" when
they're needed on another channel. It's the perfect system for
sequencer work or for any
combination of sequenced parts and real-time playing. And to gain
even more control, you
can use our ObjectMoverlM software program for both Apple MacintoshlM
and Atari
computers. Both provide unlimited offline storage of program data
as well as let you edit
and play right from your computer keyboard.
