SG-1 - Korg's 76 key Sampling Grand uses the latest sampling
technology to reproduce
real acoustic piano sound. The result is completely different
from ordinary electronic
pianos. The SG-1 delivers it all.
From deep bass to high treble, with natural dynamics, rich
resonance and lingering detail.
Korg brings you a truly acoustic sounding electronic instrument
with the performance
deserving of the name "grand. " Built into the SG-1
are four timbres: Piano I & II and
Electric Piano I & II. With optional ROM cards you can easily
add other sounds, also
boasting the fidelity and quality of Korg's sampling technology.
A "brilliance" control lets
you adjust the amount of tonal change effected by keyboard dynamics.
Bass, middle, and
treble tone controls offer equalization.
High grade digital chorus has depth and speed controls as well
as stereo output. Key
transpose lets you shift pitch in semitone steps up to five semitones
above and six
semitones below normal. Excellent performance as a MIDI master
keyboard. Extended
MIDI data transmission capabilities are supported with pitch bend,
modulation wheel,
initial touch, after touch, and program change data. You can also
"split" the keyboard at
any point so that MIDI data is sent from only one section. This
is useful for obtaining split
keyboard effects with synthesizer sound source modules.
The SG-1D is a sampled piano in which sampling technology has
been catapulted to a
completely new dimension. The reality of sound and expression
is stunning - right from
the attack of the sound when the key is struck and the resonance
of the sound throughout
the body of the piano, to the swell and slow decay of the sound.
Four preset sounds are
provided: PIANO I,II and E. PIANO I,II. Optional ROM cards let
you augment the sound
library of the New SG-1D with such instruments as organ, vibes
and guitar.
Moreover, you can fine-tune the sound to your liking with the
built-in 3-band equalizer,
brilliance, and digital chorus controls. Full sized keys and an
authentic weighted action
provide exceptional expressive control. You can even customize
the keyboard's response
over an 8-step range. The New SG-1D performs equally well as a
sophisticated master
keyboard for MIDI system control. Full MIDI implementation and
functions such as local
ON/OFF, split as well as program change, damper pedal are received
and transmitted via
