A built-in computer analyzes the melody you play and
adds a complex accompaniment that matches the chord progression.
This is CompuMagic, the original Korg development that takes
you far beyond the capabilities of other keyboards. You have
16 different rhythm and accompaniment patterns to choose from.
All are sophisticated and musically satisfying. Additional plug-in
cartridges let you "customize" your SAS-20 to your
musical tastes. Instead of playing the melody, you can play chords
with your left hand and have the computer
add accompaniment to that. Either way, this is no simple automatic
playalong feature. The accompaniment is based on music theory
so you can learn as you enjoy playing. There are 12 instrument
tones to choose from including piano, harpsichord, and strings.
Melody Chord fills out single melody notes to form block chords
for a richer sound. Sustain and Stereo effects give even more
potential. Other features include guitar or mike input and 2-way
power supply for indoor/outdoor performance.
