A 13-key pedal keyboard for control of MIDI synthesizers, expander
modules,
electronic pianos, and other MIDI equipments. Perfect for playing
organ-style
deep bass notes with the EX-8000, EX-800, POLY80011 or DW-8000,
this
pedal keyboard offers more options for multikeyboard ensemble
performance.
As an example, you can play seven voices on a DW-8000 while playing
one
voice using the MPK-130. Or use this pedal keyboard with a MIDI
drum
machine such as the MR-16 or EX-8000 programmed for synthesized
drum
sounds to create many different percussive effects.
In the POLY mode you could play 13 tuned percussion sounds.
Range is
selectable (by foot switch) over three octaves (LM-H) from C1
to C4. MIDI
transmit channel is selectable (1 - 16). Both POLY and MONO modes
are
available; the MONO mode gives priority to the higher note played.
As insurance
against MIDI cables becoming unplugged, the MPK-130 sends an active
sensing
signal every 200ms. If no signal is received, the synth is automatically
silenced.
