Drumulator and Drumulator Options
Since its introduction, the Drumulator has set
the standard for affordable digital
drum machines, offering a combination of superb sounds, advanced
features,
and a level of programmability unmatched by drum machines costing
three
times its price. Now E-mu Systems introduces a series of options
that gives
the Drumulator a dramatic new range of capabilities.
The Pad Programmer
With the E mu Pad Programmer you can now play and program your
Drumulator in the most natural way imaginable: in real time with
ordinary
drum sticks. Each of the Programmer's pads can be assigned to
any
Drumulator sound and each is touch sensitive, allowing you to
choose the
normal or accented version of a sound by how hard you hit its
pad.
Programming complex dynamics was never easier. For added versatility
the
Pad Programmer includes inputs for processing external controllers,
as well as
four trigger outputs for controlling synthesizers, sequencers,
or (dare we say
it?) other drum machines.
The Graphic Rhythm Composer
The Graphic Rhythm Composer uses the Drumulator's computer interface
to
let you create rhythm patterns on an inter active graphics display.
You can then
link these patterns together into complete songs, save them on
floppy disk, and
even print them out for future reference. What's more, since you
can
independently program the level of each indiuidual note, the GRC
opens up a
whole new world of subtle (and not so subtle) dynamics.
New Sounds
For those who prefer it, a crash cymbal chip is now available
as a user
installable option to replace the standard ride cymbal. And for
those well
versed in the art of software, we can even tell you how to use
an Emulator and
a computer to create your own custom Drumulator sound chips.
The Drumulator. With a price of $995.00 we didn't
have to make it the best.
But we did.
