This is the age of digital music and sound engineering. Almost before our eyes, have we seen the world be revolutionized by the power of the musical and the visual media?
For anyone who loves making music or recording music, there has been a shift in technologies that has changed everything about music forever. There was a time when a recording studio required large amounts of space and without a great amount of equipment and expense, a home studio was rather limited.
As the years have passed, computers have advanced to being capable of both video and sound recording that rivals some studios. The advents of devices for mass storage, let alone online storage capabilities have assured that large volumes of music are now easy. Also as other newly discovered arts are growing up finally. There are new musical styles that have come out of remixing, sequencing, sampling, and midi interfacing.
The styles of hip-hip and electronica have embraced the most modern technologies, but they also are a new kind of free thinking musicians. They are playing the music in the way that a conductor guides an orchestra during a concert performance. Now all music is available in other media.
